Tiguipa is a town in the Chuquisaca department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Tiguipa is the central place of the canton Tiguipa in the district (Bolivian: Municipio ) Macharetí in the province Luis Calvo . The village is located at an altitude of 658 m a few kilometers west of the Voranden chain of the Serranía Aguaragüe , which runs from Boyuibe in the north via Villamontes to Yacuiba in the south and reaches heights of up to 1400 m at Tiguipa.

Here the Ruta 6 crosses the 1,631-kilometer Ruta 9 from Guayaramerin on the Brazilian border via Santa Cruz to Yacuiba on the Argentine border. From Boyuibe it is 58 kilometers on the Ruta 9 via Macharetí to Tiguipa.
