Cordon of the druid
The Cordon des Druid ( German "the Druidenlinie" ) is an approximately 300 meter long Breton stone row of quartzite blocks . It is located in the forest of Fougères halfway between Fougères and Landean , in the Ille-et-Vilaine department , in France .
The north-east-south-west oriented series is slightly winding on a forest path. Many of their 20+ blocks are small or overturned. There are descriptions of complementary series that have run out. White quartz was used in all cases. Single-row arrangements are rare in Brittany, with the exception of Bocadeve in Saint-Just or the “ stone wedding ” in the high moor of Mont-Saint-Michel de Brasparts .
There are several megalithic sites around Fougères . Among other things, the Pierre Courcoulée , the Pierre du Trésor and the Allée couverte by Rocher Jacquot .
