The Corella River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland that only carries water during the rainy season .

River course

The river has its source in the Corella Reservoir on the western slopes of Mount Burstall , about 40 kilometers west of Cloncurry and south of the Flinders Highway . The Corella River flows northeast, crosses under the Flinders Highway and 30 kilometers further on the Burke Developmental Road . At Clonagh it turns its course north. Shortly before the Wills Developmental Road it turns northeast again, crosses under the road and flows south of Canobe into the Dugald River .
