She also demonstrated her ability to assert herself within the club when she advised the president's sports advisor early on and successfully not to interfere in her own skills; In addition, at the beginning of 2015, she replaced the long-time assistant coach and fitness coach. For all personal details, she found support from both the team and the club president. As early as September 2015, and therefore very early on, the association signed a contract with Diacre for two more years (until 2018). Three months later, France Football named her the best second division coach of the year . His second season under Diacre closed Clermont, which had even been promoted at times, in seventh place.

As early as September 2016, the national association FFF wanted to make her the successor to women's national coach Philippe Bergeroo . Corinne Diacre declined the offer with the words: “You don't get off board your ship in September.” A year later, she ended her contract with Clermont, with a 4-year contract, to succeed Olivier Echouafni as To become the coach of the French women's national team .
