Cornélio Veerman

Cornélio Veerman CM (born November 6, 1908 in Volendam , North Holland Province , Netherlands ; † September 12, 1994 ) was a Dutch religious and Roman Catholic prelate of Cametá .

Life

Cornélio Veerman joined the religious order of the Lazarists and received the sacrament of priestly ordination on July 21, 1935 . Veerman became Apostolic Administrator of Cametá on May 3, 1953 .

On February 27, 1961, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular of Numida and for the first prelates of Cametá. The Bishop of Haarlem , Joannes Antonius Eduardus van Dodewaard , donated him episcopal ordination on May 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Changzhi , Frans Gerard Constantin Kramer, OFM , and the auxiliary bishop in Utrecht , Theodorus Gerardus Antonius Hendriksen .

On August 8, 1969, Pope Paul VI took the resignation put forward by Cornélio Veerman. In addition, Veerman renounced the titular diocese Numida on November 30, 1970.

Cornélio Veerman attended the second session of the Second Vatican Council .
