José Elias Chaves Junior

José Elias Chaves Júnior CM (born April 28, 1926 in Luz , Minas Gerais , Brazil , † October 31, 2006 ) was the prelate of Cametá .

Life

José Elias Chaves Júnior joined the Congregation of the Vincentians at and received on 18 October 1953, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 21, 1980, Pope John Paul II appointed him Prelate of Cametá. The Bishop of Luz , Belchior Joaquim da Silva Neto CM, donated him episcopal ordination on July 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Assis , José Lázaro Neves CM, and the auxiliary bishop in Curitiba , Ladislau Biernaski CM.

On September 29, 1999 Pope John Paul II accepted the resignation put forward by José Elias Chaves Júnior.
