The Corne de Sorebois is a mountain west of the resort of Zinal in the canton of Valais , Switzerland with an altitude of 2895 m above sea level. M. and is located north of the Garde de Bordon . The two mountains separate the Val d'Anniviers into the Val de Moiry with the resort of Grimentz and Val de Zinal with the resort of Zinal. In the western branch is the Lac de Moiry reservoir .
A cable car has been running from Zinal to the 2438 m above sea level since 1967 . M. located mountain station Sorebois . The cabins were renewed in 2007. The cable car opens up the Zinal ski area, which comprises 70 km of slopes. The main slopes are artificially snowed. In addition to the cable car, there are two chair lifts and 5 ski lifts available to skiers. In late autumn 2013, a cable car from Grimentz to La Vouarda was opened, connecting the two ski areas of Grimentz and Zinal. The result was a ski arena with 120 km of slopes, 2 cable cars, 1 gondola , 5 chair lifts and 11 ski lifts. The Grimentz-Zinal ski area is thus one of the 10 largest ski areas in the canton of Valais. In the summer of 2020, the Zinal railway was not in operation as it will be renewed and extended from Sorebois (intermediate station from winter 2020/21) to La Vouarda.

Over the southern ridge some leads above the Col de Sorebois the 19th stage of the national route no. 6 Alpine Passes Trail from SwitzerlandMobility along namely from Turtmanntal forth across the Meidpass coming and Zinal, the Lac de Moiry and further via the de Col Torrent in the Val d'Hérens .
