Cornelia Linde

Johanne Cornelia Linde (* 1978 in Göttingen ) is a German historian .

Cornelia Linde studied from 1996 to 2003 at the Universities of Göttingen , Bologna and Freiburg im Breisgau Latin Philology of the Middle Ages, Latin Philology and historical auxiliary sciences. From 2003 to 2004 she completed her master's degree in “Cultural and Intellectual History, 1300–1650” at the Warburg Institute at the University of London . She received her PhD in London in 2009 with the thesis Discussions of Textual Criticism of the Latin Bible from the Twelfth to the Fifteenth Century . From 2009 to 2012 she was a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at University College London . From 2012 to 2020 she was a research assistant for Medieval History at the German Historical Institute in London . In the meantime, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Medieval History at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in the 2017 summer semester . Since April 1, 2020, she has been teaching in the successor to Karl-Heinz Spieß as Professor of General History of the Middle Ages at the University of Greifswald .

In her dissertation, she examined an excerpt from the history of the Latin Bible ( Vulgate ) and attitudes to it in the period between the 12th and 15th centuries. She treated Stephan Harding , Roger Bacon , Ramon Martí and Hugo von Saint-Cher , among others . She was editor of the contributions to a conference of an international colloquium at the German Historical Institute in London in 2014 on aspects of the legal history of the Dominican Order .
