Cory Riecks (born November 7, 1988 in Auburn ) is an American volleyball coach and former volleyball player.

Career

Riecks began his volleyball career in high school in 2004 . In 2007 he came to Pepperdine University . At the same time he was called up to the junior national team of the United States. At the University of Malibu he trained with Marv Dunphy . With more than a thousand "kills" he developed a great success rate in the attack. In 2011 he came to Europe for the first time and signed a contract with German champions VfB Friedrichshafen , but already switched to league competitor TV Bühl in November , where he played until 2013. He then went to Finland for one season to join Raision Loimu in Raisio . In the 2014/15 season he played for VK Ostrava in the Czech first division. He was awarded with the team cup winners and as MVP of the cup tournament. In 2015 he moved to Spain to CV Teruel , where he finished the season as runner-up and cup finalist. In 2016/17 he played in Puerto Rico for Caribes de San Sebastián ; also here he was runner-up. In 2017 he signed for one season with Al-Wasl in Dubai , but apparently did not start the contract, but ended his career.

Since May 2018 he has been an assistant coach for the women's team of the Pacific Tigers , the university team of the University of the Pacific in California.
