Cosmin Gabriel Matei (born September 30, 1991 in Târgovişte , Dâmbovița district ) is a Romanian football player .
Career
society
Cosmin Matei began his career in 2007 with Farul Constanța , who at the time played in the highest Romanian football league, Liga 1 . There he came to his first assignment on October 16, 2008. After relegation at the end of the season, he stayed with the club. In summer 2010 he moved to Steaua Bucharest . There he was hardly used in the 2010/11 season , but won the Romanian Cup with his new team .
In the summer of 2011, Matei left the record champions and joined league rivals Astra Ploieşti . There he could not prevail and six months later moved to Dinamo Bucharest , where he was able to win the cup again.
In January 2016, Matei decided to continue his career abroad and switched to the Greek club Atromitos Athens . Half a season later he moved to the Turkish club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . In the 2017/18 season he was loaned to NK Istra for six months in 1961 .
National team
At the end of May 2014, national coach Victor Pițurcă Matei nominated for his line-up for two friendly matches against Albania and Algeria . He was substituted on in both games.
Matei had previously played for the U-17 , U-19 and U-21 national teams several times .
