The Costa Spur is a prominent rock spur on the Borchgrevink coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It extends 6 km southwest of Quetin Head on the Daniell Peninsula in an easterly direction to the Ross Sea and marks the southern edge of Mandible Cirque .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2005 after Daniel P. Costa of the University of California, Santa Cruz , who from 1977 carried out studies on the seal populations at McMurdo Sound , South Georgia and Livingston Island and as a senior scientist within the GLOBEC (Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics) program took part in two voyages of the icebreaker Nathaniel B. Palmer in the Antarctic winter of 2001 and 2002.
