Courtney Act , actually Shane Gilberto Jenek (* 18th February 1982 in Brisbane , Queensland ) is an Australian pop singer , entertainer , drag queen and reality TV - personality .

life and work

Courtney Act gained first notoriety through her participation in the first season of Australian Idol in 2003. Following the show, she released her debut single Rub Me Wrong , which reached number 29 on the Australian charts .

In 2012 she was on an episode of the American sitcom Are You There, Chelsea? to see. In December 2013, the US TV broadcaster Logo announced that Courtney Act would take part in the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race as one of 14 drag queens . Act reached the finals in the show and took second place behind Bianca Del Rio together with Adore Delano .

In July 2014 Act sang the title Elephant Love Song from the film Moulin Rouge in a duet with Cheyenne Jackson with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra . In 2015 she released the EP Kaleidoscope . In 2017 he released the album Access All Areas together with the drag race participants Willam Belli and Alaska Thunderfuck under the band name The AAA Girls . Courtney Act then went on tour in 15 North American cities with Belli and Thunderfuck.

In 2018, Courtney Act took part in the 21st season of the British edition of Celebrity Big Brother and prevailed after 32 days in the final against politician Ann Widdecombe and singer Shane Lynch as the winner. On October 25, 2018, the TV channel E! the dating reality show The Bi Life moderated by her . There are also plans for a late night show called The Courtney Act Show on British TV station Channel 4 .
