Cover Up is an American action thriller from 1991 starring the Swede Dolph Lundgren in the lead role of journalist Mike Anderson.

After a terrorist attack on a US naval base in Israel, journalist Mike Anderson was sent there by his newspaper to cover the attack. The attack on the military base is attributed to a new terrorist group called "Black October." At the American embassy, Anderson meets some old friends from the military who, however, do not want to help him with his research and apparently also want to hide something - as his longtime friend When Colonel Jeff Cooper wants to give him more information, he falls victim to a car bomb attack. Anderson now realizes that there is much more to it than just a terrorist attack and that his life could be in danger if he continues to ask unpleasant questions gradually uncovered a plot. A dangerous poison gas was stolen in the attack on the naval base. Anderson suspects his old rival of the CIA chief Lou Jackson to be connected to the events. In truth, however, Cooper are the violent death just staged and his wife Susan who in turn faked Anderson with Information supplied the guilty. The two are planning a massive terrorist attack on a church holiday with thousands of pilgrims on the streets. In literally the last second, Mike Anderson can prevent a catastrophe.
