Administration building

The Création Gross GmbH & Co. KG is a German fashion house headquartered in the Franconian Hersbruck . The family business produces and sells suits and men's clothing for the fashion label Carl Gross and Club of Gents in 20 countries worldwide.

history

In 1925 August Gross founded a clothing factory in Neuhaus an der Pegnitz, Franconia .

After the Second World War , his two sons Karl and Waldemar took over the company in 1955 and specialized in men's fashion in the following years. In 1965 they relocated the company to Hersbruck and changed the name to Bekleidungswerke August Groß GmbH in 1968 . In 1974 Peter Gross joined the company and the company name changed to Bekleidungswerke Gross GmbH and again in 1983 to Création Gross GmbH & Co. KG . In 1991 Peter Gross took over the management and in 1994 introduced the Carl Gross brand . The company shares were with him and his cousin Wolfgang as silent partners. Starting in 2003, Gross developed a second brand, CG, for a younger target group and relocated most of the production abroad. To introduce a modular system, a 7,000 m² logistics center was opened in Hersbruck in 2006. In 2011, the CG brand was expanded to include the Club of Gents .

In 2015, the owner's two sons took over company shares as part of the succession plan and part of the operational responsibility was transferred from Peter Gross to the newly appointed managing directors Thomas Steinhart and Ralph Böhm.
