Crash Games - Every fall counts! (mostly referred to simply as Crash Games ) was a game show produced by Endemol that was broadcast on ProSieben from August 2014 to November 2015 . The shooting and production location was Hürth .
Procedure and rules
In the show, three teams of two compete against each other in five different nonsense games. The teams play the games individually and in different order. Failed attempts are per game (called Fails ) counted and added, so that at the end of that team with the most points is eliminated (hence the Nebentitel Each fall counts! ). The maximum number of fails per game is 25. Of the two remaining teams, one candidate each takes on an obstacle course that always ends on Mount McGlitsch . The winning team receives a small trophy and prize money of 5,000 euros .
The games are mostly of a sporting nature, which is why the production company calls the show a physical game show . Often the tasks can be solved with skill , sometimes they require luck. They all have humorous names, including corruptions such as Matte Hari or Das doppelte Flottchen .
The participants are almost always dressed according to a motto . Occasionally, C celebrities such as Lena Nitro or travesty artists from Olivia Jones's environment also come to the games.
Moderation
There is no moderation in the traditional sense, but the teams are each accompanied by one of three reporters. Melissa Khalaj , Miriam Rickli and Annie Hoffmann take on this role . Peter Rütten also acts as an off- commentator.
Broadcasting and ratings
The show was first broadcast on Saturday evening, August 2, 2014. The first season reached an average of 1.09 million viewers, which corresponds to a market share of 6.8%. The first episode benefited from Schlag den Star and reached 1.73 million viewers across Germany (10.3% market share). The last episode saw a significant drop in viewer interest with just 0.6 million viewers.
Repetitions run in ProSieben Fun's afternoon or evening program .
criticism
Because of its simple overall concept and the deliberately strange appearance of some of the candidates, the show can be assigned to trash TV. The show is accused, among other things, too much on the Schadenfreude targeting the seer. In the online edition of the Wiener Zeitung it was already stated in advance: "It can be assumed, however, that viewers with above-average glee at falling and physically and emotionally exhausting candidates will get their money's worth."
