Two Steps from Hell ( German  Two steps from hell ) is a company offering music for film and computer game trailer , and partly for films themselves produced. It was founded in 2006 by Nick Phoenix and Thomas Bergersen and is based in Santa Monica, USA .

The pieces of music have been used in numerous trailers and films, including a. in Avatar - Departure for Pandora , Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix , Star Wars: The Clone Wars , Star Trek , The Dark Knight , 2012 , X-Men: The Last Stand , Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time , Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull , Saw 3D - completion , Anna Karenina and also The Chronicles of Narnia: The Journey at Dawn as well as in computer games such as Mass Effect 2 and the British television series Doctor Who as well as for the trailer of Breaking Dawn - Bis (s ) at the end of the night - part 1 , the fourth part of the Twilight saga or as theme music for the television show Crash Games - Every fall counts! .

The title Heart of Courage was played at the European Football Championship in 2012 and in some Champions League games and is also played by the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen , the second division club FC Ingolstadt and SV Darmstadt 98 , and since July 2013 by the second division SV Sandhausen and SC Paderborn 07 as well as the regional league clubs Alemannia Aachen and VfB Eichstätt are used for this purpose. Illusions , originally referred to as Nemesis II , was published as a standalone publication under the name of Bergersen. The same applies to Sun . Origin of name

When it was founded, Bergersen was looking for a name that would attract attention, based on the motto “all PR is good PR”.

The idea for the name came from a Norwegian nightclub, which, according to Bergersen, was probably pursuing a similar goal.
