Crassula drummondii is a species of thick leaf ( Crassula ) in the thick leaf family(Crassulaceae).

description

Crassula drummondii is an upright or creeping herbaceous plant with an erect end . The aquatic shoots reach a length of up to 4 centimeters. Their linear-lanceolate leaves are 1.5 to 3 millimeters long. The tip of the leaf is blunt.

A four-fold flower is formed at each node . The flowers are on a 1 to 1.3 millimeter (rarely 0.5 to 2 millimeter) long peduncle . Their triangular sepals are 0.4 millimeters long and 0.3 millimeters wide. The lanceolate petals have a length of 1.3 millimeters and a width of 0.3 millimeters. The nectar flakes were not described.

The elongated to ellipsoidal, warty seeds are reddish brown.

Systematics and distribution

Crassula drummondii is common in the United States in the states of Colorado , Arizona, and Texas, as well as Paraguay , Argentina, and Chile in seasonally humid locations and along the edges of ponds and streams.

The first description as Tillaea drummondii by John Torrey and Asa Gray was published in 1840. Friedrich Karl Georg Fedde placed the species in the genus Crassula in 1904 .
