The credit and Volksbank eG was a German cooperative bank with headquarters in Wuppertal . The business area extended from Wuppertal via Schwelm , Mettmann , Wülfrath and Velbert . In 2017 it merged with Volksbank Remscheid-Solingen to form Volksbank im Bergisches Land eG.

Credit- und Volksbank eG emerged from Volksbank Wuppertal eGmbH. The year of foundation is 1869. This made the bank one of the oldest cooperative banks in Germany.
