The Creswick Gap is a notch on the Rymill Coast in the west of Palmer Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the Creswick Peaks and the Campbell Ridges and extends from the Chapman Glacier to the Meiklejohn Glacier . It offers a safe ascent route from George VI Sound over the Naess and Meiklejohn glaciers to the Dyer plateau .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the notch in 1976 in connection with the naming of the Creswick Peaks. It is named after Frances Elizabeth Creswick (1907-2002), deputy director of the Scott Polar Research Institute from 1931 to 1938.
