Cristiano Salerno
Cristiano Salerno (born February 18, 1985 in Imperia ) is a former Italian cyclist .
Career
Cristiano Salerno began his career in 2006 with the Irish Professional Continental Team Tenax . In 2008 he moved to the team LPR Brakes , with whom he finished seventh in the Italian semi-classic Tre Valli Varesine in 2009 . In 2010 Salerno drove for De Rosa-Stac Plastic , winning the general classification and two stages of the Tour of Japan . In 2011 he switched to ProTeam Liquigas and competed for this team in both the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España and won the mountain classification of the Tour of Catalonia in 2013 . After the dissolution of his team, he was hired by the German team Bora-Argon 18 to support the new team captain Dominik Nerz in the mountains. After the end of the season in which he did not contest the Grand Tour , he ended his career.
