The 93rd Tour of Catalonia ( Volta Ciclista a Catalunya in Catalan ) will take place from March 18 to March 24, 2013. The cycling stage race is part of the UCI World Tour 2013 and within this the fifth race. The total distance of the race is approximately 1200 kilometers.

The 19 ProTeams are entitled to start . In addition, the organizer "Volta" Ciclista a Catalunya Associació Esportiva awarded three wildcards to Professional Continental Teams . Each team started with eight drivers.
