Cristiano Silva de Lima Junior (* 5. June 1979 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ; † 5. December 2004 in Bangalore , India ) was Brazilian pro - football player .

Lima collapsed on December 5, 2004 during the final of the Indian Federation Cup against Mohun Bagan AC after he had scored the 2-0 for his club seconds earlier and had collided with the opposing goalkeeper Subrata Pal . Lima played for the Dempo Sports Club . Resuscitation attempts on the square and at Hosmat Hospital in Bangalore were unsuccessful. The cause of the breakdown was likely an undetected heart defect.

Lima came to India from Brazil in 2003. In the 2003/2004 season he played for East Bengal Club in Kolkata and then moved to Goa. In Brazil he previously played in Rio de Janeiro for the clubs CR Vasco da Gama and Sampaio Corrêa FC .
