Cristina Marton

Cristina Marton (* 1974 in Reșița ) is a Romanian pianist .

Life

Cristina Marton studied with Georg Sava at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and has received awards at international competitions such as the Clara Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf , the Mozart Competition in Salzburg and the Martha Argerich Competition in Buenos Aires .

Her career is characterized by the fact that she had private lessons with pianists such as Alfred Brendel , Radu Lupu and Martha Argerich and is still in close friendly contact with the latter. She also had master classes with pianists such as Karl-Heinz Kämmerling , András Schiff , Bruno Leonardo Gelber , Christian Zacharias , Yara Bernette (1920–2002), Arnulf von Armin (* 1947) and Stephen Kovacevich .

She has already given concerts in various world cities such as Hong Kong , New York and Moscow and works with many world-famous orchestras.

She has lived in Singen (Hohentwiel) since 2009 and teaches at the youth music school there and at the Leopold Mozart Center at the University of Augsburg .
