Crocus boryi is a plant from the genus of crocus ( Crocus ).

features

Crocus boryi is a perennial tuber geophyte that reaches heights of (3) 7 to 20 centimeters. The tuber shell is paper-like and slit into parallel shapes at the bottom. The flowers are wine glass-shaped, mostly white in color and always dark yellow in the throat. They close at night. The anthers and pollen are white. The stamens are fine papillae.

The flowering period extends from September to December.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 30.

Occurrence

Crocus boryi occurs in Greece . In Crete , the species grows on fallow land, in Phrygana and on sand dunes at altitudes of 150 to 550 meters.
