The Croix de Hœrdt (short: Hœrdt ) is a motorway triangle in Alsace , which is located southwest of Hœrdt in Alsace (Bas-Rhin department). Here the Autoroute A35 branches off from the Autoroute A4 and leads south of the triangle together to the exit Strasbourg-Center.
Position and design
The triangle is located near the village of Hœrdt . Nearby cities and municipalities are Strasbourg and Brumath . The triangle is located about 15 km northeast of Kehl , about 25 km east of Achern and about 10 km north of Strasbourg.
The triangle was built as a very narrow right-hand trumpet in order to be able to expand it later to become a motorway junction and to be able to make the Autoroute A355 the western bypass of Strasbourg. The A35 crosses the A4 in a central bridge structure; all ramps are single-lane.
