The Rivière du Diable ( French for " Devil's River") is a left tributary of the Rivière Rouge in the Laurentides administrative region of the Canadian province of Québec .

The river has its origin in the Lac du Diable in the Laurentine Mountains . It runs south in the Parc national du Mont-Tremblant . It flows through a series of smaller lakes and overcomes several rapids, including the Chute du Diable and the Chutes Croches . The Rivière du Diable has numerous narrow bends in the river . He finally reaches the small town of Mont-Tremblant . The national road Route 117 crosses it 7 km north of its confluence with the Rivière Rouge . The river has a length of 70 km. It drains an area of ​​around 1165 km².
