The Croom Glacier is a steep and wide glacier on the Wilkins Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows to the head of Smith Inlet , which it reaches between Moe Point and the Hughes Piedmont Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after the American biologist John M. Croom, who served from 1968 to 1969 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program at Palmer Station as well 1970 worked as an exchange scientist on the Soviet Bellingshausen station .
