Crystal Ball is a Swiss hard rock - band from Lucerne , the end of the 1990s was founded.
history
The band began as the cover band "Cherry Pie" and played numerous concerts in Switzerland , Germany and Austria . The first album In the Beginning under the name Crystal Ball was released in 1999. In 2000 the second album Hard Impact came out, followed by a tour with Pretty Maids and a record deal with the label Nuclear Blast . The album Virtual Empire was released in 2002, in the same year the band went on tour with Dokken , UDO , Krokus and Doro . On the tour with UDO the band got to know Stefan Kaufmann , a former member of the bands UDO and Accept , who produced the albums Hellvetia and Timewalker . During this time, Crystal Ball went on tour with Axxis , Pink Cream 69 and Krokus, and toured for the first time as a headliner with the band Thunderstone .
In 2007, Crystal Ball signed a new recording deal with AFM Records and released their sixth studio album, Secrets , which was produced by Michael Bormann. After a break, the band returned in 2013 with the album Dawnbreaker and new front singer Steven Mageney, and they signed the Massacre Records label . Tours with The Poodles and Krokus followed. In 2015 the album LifeRider was released, on which classic hard rock is mixed with modern metal. The singer of the band Battle Beast , Noora Louhimo, has a guest appearance on the song Eye to Eye . The band line-up was supplemented by Tony Castell (formerly Krokus), who has been a rhythm guitarist ever since. In the same year the band played at various festivals such as the Sion sous les étoiles and the Guitare en scène alongside the Scorpions and at the Brienzersee Festival alongside bands like Thunder . She also worked for a live show with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra.
In 2016 the album Déjà-Voodoo came out and the band toured Germany and Switzerland as the opening act for Shakra . In 2017 Crystal Ball played at the Rock the Ring Festival alongside bands such as Deep Purple , Krokus and Gotthard . In 2018 Crystal Ball released the album Crystallizer , played a headliner tour in Germany and had various festival appearances. The band also went on tour as the opening act for Axel Rudi Pell . In 2019 the band celebrated their 20th anniversary with the best of album 2020 . The most popular songs for the album were selected through fan surveys and streaming analyzes. The first CD contains older songs by the band that were re-recorded with singer Steven Mageney. On the second CD you will find current songs that have been reinterpreted, arranged and supplemented with additional recordings.
