The Cunnersdorfer Wasser is a source stream of the Löbauer water in Saxony .

It arises at a height of 450 m on the northeast slope of the Kottmar from the waters of the Buchenborn, Fichtenborn and Birkenborn. After the spring waters have united, the stream flows north. The towns of Obercunnersdorf , Niedercunnersdorf and Seitenschweidnitz extend along its course . Then the Cunnersdorfer Wasser takes on the right side of the Krummbach flowing from Ottenhain . At the Zimmermühle in the Löbauer district of Ebersdorf in Liebesdörfel, the stream joins the Großschweidnitz water after 7 km to form the Löbauer water.

The Cunnersdorfer Wasser is the spring stream with less water, its hydropower was used by numerous mills, especially in Niedercunnersdorf, before the introduction of more modern drive options. The originally fish-rich body of water has been subject to the fishing rights of the city of Löbau since the Middle Ages. With the establishment of textile processing companies in Obercunnersdorf, which had fed their sewage to the stream since the 19th century, the fish population perished. The last trout and crayfish were sighted at the end of the 19th century.

After the closure of most of the industrial plants and the sewerage of domestic wastewater, the Cunnersdorfer water has again achieved quality class II today.
