Cyberheidi 3D is a 15-minute short film that was made in 2002 as the first German digital 3D feature film production.

The film was produced by the Munich-based company Virtual Experience , which specializes in the production of 3D films such as Delusion 3D . For Cyberheidi 3D, Virtual Experience was supported by the Film-Fernseh-Fond-Bayern and co-produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk and the University of Television and Film (Munich).

The film was filmed with a 3D stereo camera and provided with surround sound , which underlines the spatial experience. The premiere of the film took place in May 2002 in the IMAX cinema in Munich on a specially installed digital 3D projection with an image width of 12 m.

The film Cyberheidi 3D is about the programmer Linus Bost, who cannot get out of the world of his virtual reality game due to a program error. In the 3D first person shooter game, the opposing warriors no longer shoot, but play cards peacefully. Heidi, who needs to be freed in the game, is already free. Linus is now trying everything to return to the real world, but Heidi has other plans for him. Only when both find each other does Linus come back to reality.
