Extraction and presentation

Cyclododecylamine is obtained by reaction of cyclododecene with hydrocyanic acid in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrolysis of the intermediate N obtained -Cyclododecylformamid.

use

Cyclododecylamine can be oxidized to cyclododecanone . It is also required for the synthesis of the fungicide dodemorph .
