Cyclone was a Belgian thrash metal band from Aalst that was founded in 1981 under the name Centurion and split up in 1990 or later.

history

The band was formed in 1981 under the name Centurion. After the release of some demos, the band reached a contract with Roadrunner Records and released their debut album Brutal Destruction on this label in 1986. In 1990, the second album Inferior to None followed on Justice Records . The album was produced by Eric Grief . The release of the album should be the last before the band broke up. In 2007, the Polish label Metal Mind Productions re-released Brutal Destruction , with the album being limited to 2000 copies.

Music genre

The band plays classic Thrash Metal with high-pitched screaming vocals. The vocals are mostly fast, "like a punk version of Tom Araya, " with occasional deeper grunts . The band's music is comparable to works by other groups such as Overkill , Metallica , Sacrifice , Sanctuary and Exodus . The music “is mostly in the mid / up tempo range, shines with great riffs and loads of breaks . The album [ Inferior to None ] is by no means suitable to be listened to in between, you have to deal with the disc for some time [...]. "
