Cynthia Mascitto (born October 4, 1992 in Montreal ) is an Italian short tracker .

Career

Mascitto made his first international appearance at the 2011 Junior World Championships in Courmayeur . There she won the silver medal with the relay. She made her debut in the Short Track World Cup at the beginning of the 2016/17 season in Calgary . She came in 13th place over 500 m and over 1000 m and sixth place with the relay. Two top ten placings followed, including third place over 1000 m in Minsk and thus reached 12th place overall. In the following season she won fifth place with the relay at the 2018 European Championships in Dresden and 26th place over 1000 m at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . At the 2018 World Championships in Montreal , she finished 23rd in the all-around competition and fourth in the relay. In the 2018/19 season she was twice in the top ten in the 1000 m World Cup, including third place in Dresden and thus reached 15th place overall. At the 2019 World Championships in Sofia she finished 16th in the all-around competition. In December 2019, she won her first World Cup victory with the relay in Nagoya . At the European Championships 2020 in Debrecen , she was seventh in the all-around competition and won the silver medal with the relay.
