Cyril Ellis

Cyril Ellis (born February 23, 1904 in Mansfield , Nottinghamshire , † March 29, 1973 in Chelmsford ) was a British middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games he was eliminated over 1500 m in 1924 in Paris in the preliminary run and was fifth in Amsterdam in 1928 .

From 1927 to 1929 he was English champion in the mile run three times in a row and in 1929 over 880 yards .
