Czachów (German Zachow ) is a village in the Gmina Cedynia (Zehden) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship . In 2006, 220 people lived here.
It is located about six kilometers northwest of Cedynia, close to the German border.
history
The place belonged to the Brandenburg Neumark , since 1711 completely to the Amt Zehden , since the 19th century to the district of Königsberg in the Neumark .
The oldest mention of the place is from 1317. One part belonged to the Zehden monastery (19½ Hufen), the other to noble owners. In 1711 King Friedrich I bought their share and incorporated it into the Zehden office.
In 1945 the village became Polish.
Attractions
- Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa , 13./14. Century, field stone building with bricks, colored paintings from the 14th century as one of the oldest preserved in Poland, organ prospectus from the 18th century by Joachim Wagner.
