Dániel Pécsi

Dániel Pécsi (* 1895 in Túrkeve ; † in the 20th century ) was a Hungarian table tennis player who became world champion three times in the 1920s.

successes

At the national Hungarian championships Pécsi won five titles: 1912 in singles, 1925 and 1928 in doubles with Zoltán Mechlovits and in 1926 and 1927 with the men's team of Magyar Testgyakorlók Köre . In 1928 he won the International German Championships in Berlin with Erika Metzger in the mixed competition.

He took part in the first two world championships. In 1926 he won the title in doubles with Roland Jacobi and with the Hungarian team. In 1928 the team defended the title, and he also reached the mixed final with Erika Metzger from Germany, which was lost to the Hungarian pairing Zoltán Mechlovits / Mária Mednyánszky .
