Döbern is a district of the municipality Elsnig in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .

location

The Zeilendorf Döbern is located north of the city of Torgau and east of the Neiden district in the Elbe lowlands on the Old Elbe, not far from the eastern river. The Schwarze Graben flows west of the village . The street village can be reached via county road 8987.

history

In 1551 Döbern was first mentioned as an official village with 52 inhabitants. In 1552 the Schnaditz manor was mentioned in the village. In 1774 the village was called again as an official seat. The place was mentioned with the name Dobern in 1428. In 1510 the village was called Doebern and in 1529 it was called Döbern , as it is now called.

In 1818 112 people lived in the village, in 1990 there were 220. In 1994 Döbern, Mockritz and Neiden were incorporated into Elsnig.
