Dürrfeld is a district of the Lower Franconian municipality of Grettstadt in the Schweinfurt district .
Geographical location
Dürrfeld is east of Grettstadt. The SW 28 district road, which runs through Dürrfeld , leads west to Grettstadt and east to Pusselsheim , where it joins the state road St 2277 . From Dürrfeld the district road SW 54 leads to Obereuerheim .
history
The first known mention of Dürrfeld was in the 13th century as "Durnevelt" in connection with an exchange between the Würzburg bishop and Wolfram von Zabelstein. Dürrfeld was initially subordinate to the Gerolzhofen office and from 1794 to the Thurn und Taxis court . The Catholic Dürrfeld initially belonged to the parish of Gochsheim . After the Reformation , the place was initially looked after by Grettstadt, then from Pusselsheim and today from Traustadt . In 1693 the baroque Church of the Birth of the Virgin was built . In 1594 the local town hall was built as a half-timbered building. It was completely renovated in 2005/06. On July 1, 1971, Dürrfeld became part of Grettstadt as part of the municipal reform.
