After the place became the property of the Counts of Schönborn from 1696 , the parish church, which was built in 1453, was expanded in 1755 under the architect Johann Georg Neßfell .
In 1880 Obereuerheim finally went to the gentlemen von und zu Heßberg .
On May 1, 1978 Obereuerheim became part of Grettstadt as part of the municipal reform.
