The Düsseldorfer CfR links (full name: Düsseldorfer Club für lawn games linksrheinisch 1919 eV , short: CfR links ) is a football club from the Heerdt district of Düsseldorf . The first women's team played in the Regionalliga West in the 2014/15 and 2017/18 seasons .
history
The club was founded on January 14, 1919 as SV Düsseldorf 1919 links . Due to the occupation of the Ruhr by Belgian and French troops, the club could not play against the Düsseldorf clubs on the right bank of the Rhine . In 1921 the current name of the club was adopted. After the end of the Second World War , the CfR left merged with the Heerdter Turnverein to form VfL 1896 Düsseldorf on the left bank of the Rhine . After a few years, the clubs separated again.
The home ground has been the sports complex on Pariser Strasse since February 25, 1962. The men's team of the CfR left played for many years in the district league. After the last district league relegation in 2008, the Düsseldorfer were passed through to the district league B, where in 2010 the direct promotion was achieved. Five years later it went back down to the district league B.
The soccer players of the CfR left are more successful. After many years in the Düsseldorf regional league, he was promoted to the regional league in 2007. Four years later, the Düsseldorf team made it into the Lower Rhine League. In 2014, the team made it to the third-class Regionalliga West thanks to the better goal difference compared to SV Walbeck . After only one year, the team was relegated from the bottom of the table with exactly 100 goals conceded. In 2017 he was promoted to the regional league again. At the same time, the team reached the final of the Lower Rhine Cup, which, however, was lost to SV Walbeck 2: 5. With just one point from the 2017/18 season , the Düsseldorf women were relegated again.
