Elijah Samuel Burke (born April 11, 1978 in Jacksonville , Florida ), better known by his ring name D'Angelo Dinero , is an American wrestler .
Career
World Wrestling Entertainment
In 2004 Burke signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment . There he was first used at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) , where he made his debut on March 24, 2004. At OVW, Burke was already able to win the local heavyweight title on December 8, 2004 and hold it until April 2005. Then he gave the title to Matt Morgan .
On July 31, 2006 Burke made his debut in the TV format SmackDown and in December of the same year he was posted to the reactivated ECW . This now forms another TV format and there Burke formed a tag team with Sylvester Terkay . Both first appeared on November 28, 2006 against Team Extreme . But on January 18, 2007, the WWE dismissed Terkay because he did not meet expectations and did not reach the audience as planned. So Burke started again in the individual area.
In late 2007, Burke had a brief feud program with Batista , the then World Heavyweight Champion, and almost at the same time Burke formed a tag team with Shelton Benjamin . With this he appeared in May 2008 on SmackDown. On May 27, 2008, Burke played his last match with the WWE and was no longer used. On November 10, 2008, Burke was released from his current contract.
Total non-stop action wrestling
After his release, Burke played his first match in the US independent wrestling scene on December 13, 2008 at the World Wrestling Council , where he faced Sabu and Steve Corino .
On May 27, 2009 Burke played a dark match against Shawn Spears in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Burke knew how to convince there and got a standard contract.
On August 16, 2009 at TNA Hard Justice 2009 Burke made his official TNA debut under his new ring name D'Angelo Dinero . In mid-October 2009, Burke was written out of the storylines at short notice because of a family emergency and no longer appeared in the shows.
In November 2009, Burke returned to current affairs alongside Hernandez and Matt Morgan . In February 2010 he won the 8 Card Stud tournament and got a title match. On April 18, 2010 at TNA Lockdown 2010 , Burke finally competed against AJ Styles for the TNAW World Heavyweight Championship , but could not win it.
After a few feuds, Burke was no longer on TV from August 2012. He left TNA after his contract expired on January 1, 2013.
