DCBB , also KAITUO 1B or CAS-3G , is a Chinese amateur radio satellite and university training satellite .

construction

The satellite has a 2U CubeSat structure, 3-axis stabilization, 6 solar panels with triple-junction GaAs solar cells and a lithium-ion battery (8.4 volts, 3 Ah). DCBB has a power consumption of around 3.5 watts. A rod antenna is available for the 70 cm band and the 2 m band for communication with the satellite .

mission

The satellite was launched on September 19, 2015 on a Langer March 6 launcher from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome in China together with 20 other small satellites, including nine other satellites of the CAS 3 series. The telemetry was received by radio amateurs worldwide.
