NUDT-PhoneSat , also CAS-3I , is a Chinese amateur radio satellite and a picosatellite based on smartphone technology. NUDT-PhoneSat was developed by students from the University of Science and Technology of National Defense (English National University of Defense Technology , or NUDT ) in Changsha in the Chinese province of Hunan in cooperation with the Chinese amateur radio organization CAMSAT developed.
mission
The satellite was launched on September 19, 2015 on a Langer March 6 launcher from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome in China together with 20 other small satellites, including nine other satellites of the CAS 3 series. The telemetry was received by radio amateurs worldwide.
