DIOSNA Dierks & Söhne GmbH is a German turbine manufacturer in the dough preparation machines for the baking industry and supplies equipment for the processing of powdered solids for the pharmaceutical and chemical industry .

history

On October 1, 1885, Friedrich Dierks and a partner founded a factory in Osnabrück for machines for agriculture and housekeeping, as well as for dairy equipment. A few years after it was founded, the company started developing dough preparation machines. The breakthrough came with the very first lifting kneader , which was registered with the Imperial Patent Office in 1911 .

From 1951 the company, which in the meantime traded as Dierks & Sons, continued to grow. Further developments and patents in the field of baked goods follow.

With the order to design a fast mixer for the plastics industry, access to new industries began at the end of the 1950s, and so the pharmaceutical industry became aware. The vertical mixers are becoming more and more popular in the pharmaceutical industry. The granulating mixers are the de facto standard in pharmaceutical process engineering for the production of granules for solid dosage forms. The pharmaceutical division developed into the second pillar of the company. The brand name DIOSNA combines the DI from Dierks & Söhne with OSNA from the company headquarters in Osnabrück. In 2011 Diosna achieved around 60 percent of sales of over 50 million euros in exports.

A takeover of the bakery machine program from OASE Pumpen Wübker Söhne GmbH & Co in 1994, the entry into the Multimixing Group and the takeover of BOKU Maschinenfabrik in 2001 consolidated DIOSNA and expanded its range. In 2000 the company acquired the patents for a new development for coating tablet cores. With the Vertical Centrifugal Coater , DIOSNA offers a pharmaceutical technology that is technology- defining in terms of short process times and uniformity of the tablet coatings.

On January 1, 2015, the company took over the mechanical engineering company IsernHäger . This means that it can supply the complete process in baked goods production, from dosing to pre-dough preparation, pre-dough or sourdough, kneading and transfer logistics.
