DNO ASA , formerly Det norske oljeselskap , is a mineral oil company from Norway with headquarters in Oslo . DNO ASA is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in the OBX Index .

The company is one of the three largest Norwegian oil companies, which include Equinor and Saga Petroleum . DNO ASA was founded in 1971. In 1997, DNO ASA acquired the Heather oil field in the North Sea and later began doing business in Yemen .
