history
The bank was founded on December 21, 1979 as Nord-West-Ring-Bank eG in Frankfurt am Main. The main business activity was the implementation of the central settlement with del credere assumption for the Nord-West-Ring eG and the Fach-Sport GmbH. In 1988 business activities were expanded by taking over central settlement with del credere for the first external cooperation. In 1995 the name was changed from Nord-West-Ring Bank GmbH to DZB Die Zentralregulierungsbank GmbH. In 2006 the majority of the capital in Aktivbank AG in Pforzheim was acquired. In 2007 the name was changed to DZB Bank GmbH.
