The Da Forno Peninsula ( Spanish Península Da Forno ; in Argentina Península Pata de perro , Spanish for 'dog leg peninsula '; in the United Kingdom Westminster Peninsula ) is a peninsula on the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between Square Bay in the south and Dogs Leg Fjord in the north and ends in Nicholl Head in the west .
Chilean scientists named them after Ciro da Forno Baldovino, participant in the 21st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1966–1967). The Argentine name is based on that of the neighboring Dog Leg Fjord. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 after Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster (1951-2016), who had supported British research activities in the Antarctic.
