DaY-már (born as Dagmar Otto , often also "DaY-Már", "DJ DaY-már" or just "Day Mar", born May 24, 1984 in Doetinchem ), currently lives in Maartensdijk (a village which belongs to the municipality De Bilt ) is a Dutch hardcore techno and hard techno DJ .

Career

At the age of 14 she began to be interested in the harder styles of electronic dance music . Two years later she was already experimenting with her own equipment and a few records .

A few years later she was able to perform as a disc jockey (DJ) at such large music events as Masters of Hardcore (MoH), Thunderdome , Nature One or Syndicate . The first productions such as “Hear DaY-már Whistle”, “Fucking Motherfucking Slit”, “Time Is On My Side” or “Bedtime Story” made them better known in the scene.

In February 2005, they contacted the world's largest hardcore - record label "Masters of Hardcore". They asked DaY-már if she would like to DJ at the next Masters of Hardcore party. Since then she has been under contract with the Masters of Hardcore label .

Her final breakthrough came with the title “Embrace The Night”, which was the anthem (comparable to the anthem ) of the 2006 Masters of Hardcore . Since then she has been playing regularly at smaller and larger music events all over Europe, most of them in the Netherlands and Germany followed by, for example, Belgium , France , Italy , Spain and Great Britain .

She is also often called The Queen of Darkness , as her record selection is always influenced by a dark sound . You can divide their music style into the other sub-genres darkcore and industrial hardcore . In 2009 DaY-már started to play hard techno and to produce it itself. The first major musical event in which she hung hardtechno was the Syndicate 2009. There she presented her first own hardtechno production "Essence", followed by several music events where she hung only hard techno or started with hard techno and then Hardcore passed . Also in 2010 she played hard techno on the "Syndicate". Her first hard techno album "Black Widow" was released on October 27, 2010 on the German label "Abstract Records". On the Dominator on July 20, 2013 she presented her new hardcore album "United States of DaY-már".
