Dagmar Fischer (born June 19, 1969 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author and performer .

Life

After graduating from the Bundesrealgymnasium GRG 13 Wenzgasse in Vienna, Dagmar Fischer studied law at the Juridicum in Vienna. In 1992 she completed her studies with a Mag. Iuris and subsequently worked as a legal intern at various Viennese courts (court year). Then she studied teaching for physical education , history and social studies at the University of Vienna and completed this study in 1998 with the Mag. Phil. She worked for several semesters as a lecturer for volleyball at the Institute for Sports Science at the University of Vienna and for several years as an AHS teacher .

Dagmar Fischer lives as a freelance writer in Vienna. She mainly writes poetry and short prose.

She is a member of the Graz Authors ' Assembly (GAV) and the Austrian Writers' Association (ÖSV / AWA) .

Dagmar Fischer - also known as Lyreley - mainly deals with writing and performing poetry. Since the 1990s she has given numerous readings and performances. She was often accompanied by musicians, such as Stephan Brodsky, Wolfgang Ratz and Hary Wetterstein . Occasionally, however, she also worked with artists in the fields of dance / theater. This resulted in productions in which the author was not only the main actor on the stage, but was also responsible for the dramaturgy and direction.

Since 2008 she has also appeared together with the accordionist Heidelinde Gratzl in the duo "Der Fisch zur Blaue Linde" with musical poetry performances.

She published texts (both poetry and prose) in various literary magazines (e.g. in: Die Rampe, Literarisches Österreich, Pappelblatt, & Radieschen , Reibeisen, Wienzeile), anthologies (e.g. in: Existence and Renitenz , ed. Christian Schreibmüller et al., Edition Klopfzeichen, Vienna 2011; "5 Edition. Literature from Margareten" , edited by Harald Pesata, Hernals publishing house, Vienna 2012) and online magazines. Dagmar Fischer has published seven volumes of poetry and one audio book so far.

Awards

Awarded the Gaulhofer Streicher Prize in 1998 by the Institute for Sports Science, University of Vienna for her studies and her diploma thesis: The gender order in sport - an analysis from a feminist point of view and conclusions for the subject of physical exercise (for girls).
