Dagobert Nitz

Dagobert Nitz (born February 22, 1929 in Kurow , Pomerania) is a German nuclear medicine doctor and founder.

Life

Dagobert Wolfgang Dietrich Nitz studied in Kiel and Tübingen and received his doctorate with Carl Martius on the subject of "On the anaerobic degradation of citric acid in animal tissue". He then conducted research at the University of Würzburg and received further training in internal medicine , radiology and nuclear medicine at the Universities of Tübingen , Zurich , Mainz and Munich and in cardiology at the Kerckhoff Clinic of the Max Planck Society in Bad Nauheim . From 1965 he worked in Munich, initially as a resident internist specializing in nuclear medicine and then as a resident nuclear medicine specialist. He was involved in several laws and ordinances, such as the radiation protection legislation, the amendment to the radiopharmaceutical ordinance, the medical training ordinance and medical expertise in radiation protection

Dagobert Nitz was co-founder and long-time chairman of the professional association of German nuclear medicine professionals and from 1978 to 2002 also editor of the magazine Der Nuklearmediziner .

In 1991 Dagobert Nitz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

In 2015 the Dr. Dagobert Nitz Foundation founded at his place of residence in Grünwald . Dagobert Nitz is Honorary Chairman of the Professional Association of German Nuclear Medicine. He is a member of the Society for Pomeranian History, Archeology and Art .
